James Arthur Shank, age 90 of Moncure, passed away on Tuesday (11/29/2022) at Wake Med Hospital in Cary.  He was born on February 9, 1932, son of the late Emmet Adelbert Shank and Doris Paige Shank.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Peter James Shank and his wife, Rebecca Shank.  Jim was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was a member of Juniper Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Friday at Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Surviving are his daughters, Missy Rolewicz (Dennis) of Newark, Delaware, and Linda Osborne (Clark) of Coxs Creek, Kentucky ; Sons, Bill Shank (Lynn) of Miller, Missouri, Paul Shank (Heidi) of Vandalia, Missouri, and Joseph Shank (Valerie) of Fremont, Indiana. Step-son, Steve Miller (Angie) of Moncure, NC; Sisters, Jackie Budd of Hillsdale, Michigan and Jerrie West of Sturgis, Michigan and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 Friday morning in the Juniper Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
