James Wesley "Wes" McGee, age 58 of Broadway, passed away on Saturday (7/20/2024) at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home in Pittsboro.  He was born on October 1, 1965, son of James Linwood McGee and the late Carolyn Bowling McGee.  He was preceded in death by his mother and infant daughter, Raelynn Dawn McGee.  Wes was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a member of Berea Presbyterian Church in Four Oaks, NC.  He was a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan University and Campbell University and worked for civil service as an Information Technology Manager.    He loved his church, playing musical instruments especially the guitar and repairing things. He loved nature, specifically bees.  He loved art of all kinds and was a seasoned student, he loved learning.   A memorial service will be held at Berea Presbyterian Church, 10379 NC 210, Four Oaks, NC 27524 on Saturday, (7/27/2024) at 2pm with Dr. Paul Rowland officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.   Surviving is his father, James Lynwood McGee of Erwin NC; wife, Jenny Wiggins McGee of the home; daughters, Hannah Grace McGee and Sarah Madison McGee of the home and sister, Tonya McGee Godwin (Bryan) of Benson, NC.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, Broadway Inc.
