Janis McNeill Martindale, age 75 of Sanford, died Monday (5/9/2022) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  She was born on January 11, 1947, daughter of the late Alfonzo McNeill and Louise Coore McNeill.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dwight McNeill.  Janis was a graduate of Methodist College and retired from Broadway Elementary School after many years of teaching.  She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.  Graveside funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow officiating.  Surviving is her husband, Albert Martindale of the home.  Daughter, Dana Graham and husband Mark of Vass, NC.  Grandchildren, Jayden Graham, Alyssa Graham and Brianna Martindale.  The family request no visitors at the home, but will greet friends following the service.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
