Jeffrey William Thomas, age 53 of Moncure, died Monday (1/15/2018) at his home. He was born on November 5, 1964, son of Sandra Jean Joyce Burton Thomas and the late James Towsend Thomas. He was preceded in death by his father and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday at the New Elam Christian Church with Rev. Ed Earp officiating. Burial will follow in the New Elam Christian Church Cemetery. Surviving is his mother, Jean Thomas of Cambridge, MD. Wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Mansfield Thomas of the home. Children Scotty (Jennifer), Amanda, Tyler, Brenna, and Trey (Ashlyn). Grandchildren Brentley, Liam, Noah, Lily, Zoey, Zach, and Aubrey. Sisters, Annette Potts and Patricia Schnelhouse (Jimmy) and nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial fund for Jeff would be greatly appreciated.
