Jessie Warren Sloan, age 70 of Fuquay Varina, NC, died Saturday (5/20/2017) at Universal Health Care in Fuquay Vaina. He was born in Lee County, son of the late Wade Sloan and Willie Womack Sloan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Harold Sloan and he was a Veteran of the United States Army. Memorial services will be conducted at 11am Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway. The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday, one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Surviving is his wife, Maria Sloan of Fuquay Varina, NC and Daughter, Veronical S. Thomas of Dunn, NC. Sisters Elva Mae Sloan Hall, Aubrae Gray Sloan Patterson and Edna Earle Sloan Carter all of Sanford, NC. Brothers, Norman Sloan of Broadway and Clifford Sloan of Lenoir, NC. Step Children, Valerie Mendoza of Holly Springs, NC, Connor Allen of Holly Springs, NC, Christa Mendoza of Indianapolis, Indiana and Samantha Mendoza of Costa Rica.
