Joan Elizabeth "Libby" Burnette, age 37 of Cameron, died Wednesday (1/21/2015) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She was born in Alamance County, daughter of Susan Rogers Driggers and the late Larry Thomas Driggers. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday at the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Surviving are her mother Susan Driggers and step-father Jimmy Brafford of Sanford, NC; Husband John Burnette; Sisters Misty Driggers of Cameron, NC and Michelle Page of Dunn, NC ; brother Daniel Driggers of Sanford, NC and five nephews, James Micheal Driggers, Tyler Scott Driggers, Thomas Allen Brumley and Christopher Brandon Driggers; and one niece Chelsey Nicole Gywn. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
