John Paul Drossart, age 62 of Cameron, passed away on Thursday (4/7/2022) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  He was born on July 9, 1959, son of the late Hilary John Drossart and Murdis Rae O'Neal.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David Grosskopff and Shawn Drossart, sister, Bonnie Drossart and step-son, Logan Thomas.  John enjoyed fishing, listening to music, especially bluegrass, having a good spirit, and loved spending time with his family.  Memorial service will be held on Tuesday (4/12/2022) at 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Wayne Hall officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-7pm, prior to the memorial service.  Surviving is his wife, Jancie Drossart of the home.  Daughter, Jonie Ann Prowse (Alex Prowse) of Cameron, NC.  Son, John Locklear(Stacie)  of Bloomsburg, PA and Stepson, Dylan Thomas (Emily) of West End, NC.  Sister, Trina Jackson of Aberdeen, NC and grandchildren, Kinzlee Locklear, Alexandra "Lexi" Prowse, Sophie Mae Thomas, Dustin Kern and many nieces and nephews.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
