John Wesley Elliott, age 75 of Broadway, died Sunday (3/3/2013) at his home. He was born in Park County, Colorado, son of the late Roy Elliott and Thelma Williams Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Betty Elliott. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday at the Southside Baptist Church in Broadway with Rev. Tom Welborn officiating. Surviving are his wife Carol Britt Elliott; Daughter Marilyn Chapman of Fayetteville, NC; Sons Michael Elliott of Erwin, NC, Charles Elliott of Danville, VA, Robert Elliott of Oklahoma City, OK and John "Bill" Elliott of Broadway, NC; Brother James Elliott of Columbia, Missouri; Twenty four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
