John David Faircloth, age 62 of Sanford, passed away at his home on Tuesday, (7/28/2015). He was born on May 10, 1953, son of the late Joseph "Bill" Faircloth Jr. and Clara Boggs Faircloth. He was an Instructor at Central Carolina Community College for thirty-five years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Friday (7/31/2015) at the Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Martin and Rev. Robert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Billy Ray Faircloth and sister Lois Faircloth West. Surviving are his wife Rhonda Holt Faircloth of the home; Two sons David Lynn Faircloth (Crystal) of Broadway, NC and Joseph Lee Faircloth of Sanford, NC; Three daughters, Dana Martin (Loring) of Washington State, Jennifer Woodruff (Andy) of Monroe, NC and Jamie Johnson( Desmond) of Chapel Hill, NC; Sister Betty Jean Wesley (Bo) of Broadway, NC; and nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
