John Nathan Womack, age 76 of Sanford, formerly of Broadway,  died Saturday (12/26/2020) at Liberty Commons in Sanford.  He was born on November 2, 1944, son of the late Nathan Edsel Womack and Mary Ann Fuquay Womack.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Womack Godfrey.  Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday (1/3/2021) at the Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating.  Surviving are is his brother, Ben Atlas Womack and wife Deborah of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Lora Ann Womack Kelley and husband Roger of Sanford, NC and his brother-in-law, Jerry Dean Godfrey of Broadway, NC.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations are made to a charity of one's choice.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
