Johnny Mack Brown, age 74 of Sanford, passed away on Thursday (1/28/2021) at his home with his family by his side.  He was born in Lee County, son of the late Byrdene Herman Brown and Louise Morrison Brown.  Johnny Mack loved to sing and play the bass.  He worked for Roberts Company for twenty-five years and retired from Parker Hannifin.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug Western officiating.  Surviving is his wife, Frances Brown of the home.  Daughter, Wendy Brown Williams and husband Wayne of Broadway, NC.  Son, Robbie Brown and wife April of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Pat Garrett of Johnsonville, NC.  Brother, Charlie Brown and wife Debra of Sanford, NC.  Grandchildren, Holly Hedgepath and husband Ryan, Grant Williams, Caleb Mashburn and one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Hedgepath.  Friends and family may visit the Smith Funeral Home on Saturday between the hours of 11am-2pm to sign the register and pay their respects.  Due to Covid-19, mask are requested for all services as is social distancing.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
