Johnny Tyler Hunter, age 61 of Sanford, died Tuesday (3/19/2019) at Sanford Health and Rehab.  He was born on December 8, 1957, son of the late Royce Hunter and Jessie Copeland Hunter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gaye Hunter Watson and brothers Barney Hunter and Joseph Hunter.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm on Friday (3/22/2019) at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery.  Surviving is his wife Jeanne Seymour Hunter of the home.  Daughter Cheyenne Lorraine Hunter (Tyler Clark) of Sanford, NC.  Sons, Nicholas Tyler Hunter (Meredith Leroy Hunter) and James Rebel Hunter all of Sanford, NC; Brother Denny Hunter (Brenda Hunter) of Sanford, NC and grandchildren Ran Alfred Hunter, Caladin Watkins Hunter and Christopher James Clark.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
