Johnny Lane Patterson, age 58 of Broadway, died Friday (3/28/2014) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  He was born in Lee County, son of the late Daniel Webster Patterson and Melba O'Quinn Patterson.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Graveside memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm Monday at the May Family Cemetery in Swanns Station with Rev. Marvin Johnson officiating.  Surviving are his daughters Brandy Nordan and husband Rodney of Broadway, NC and Melissa Gail Patterson of Sanford, NC; Sister Toye Patterson Layton and husband Frank of Sanford, NC; Brothers Terry Patterson and wife Jerrylane of Houma, Louisiana and Michael Patterson and wife Barbara of Broadway, NC; Grandchildren Rebecca Nordan, Perry Nordan, Hannah Lovette, Evan Alfaro and Khloe Alfaro.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the home of Frank and Toye Layton.  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
