Jose Manuel Hernandez, age 23 of Broadway, died Monday (2/3/2020) at his home.  He was born in Los Angeles, CA, son of Cirilo Hernandez Macedonio and Griselda Torres.  Jose was a graduate of Lee County High School and worked at Hernandez Auto Repair and Body Shop.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Saturday at the St. Stephens Catholic Church with Father Robert Ippolito officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Catholic Church Cemetery.  Surviving are his father Cirilo Hernandez Macedonio and Griselda Torres both of Broadway, NC.  Brothers Eduardo Hernandez and Mario Hernandez of Broadway, NC and sisters Jessica and Griselda Hernandez of Broadway, NC.  Maternal grandmother Bacilia Penaloca, Maternal grandfather Fausto Torres, Paternal Grandmother Juana Macedonio and Paternal Grandfather Bentino Hernandez.  The family will receive friends on Friday at the family home.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
