Joyce Jean Moore Jones, age 74 of Broadway, died Sunday (3/25/2012) at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. She was born on October 19, 1937 in Harnett County, daughter of the late James Telfer Moore and Vestine Stewart Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Ramona Jean Jones. She was a member of the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. J.H. Daniels and Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Cemetery in Dunn, NC. Surviving are her husband Norwood Jones of the home; Daughters Wanda Faulk and husband Donald of Broadway,NC and Christine Nowell and husband Vince of Sanford, NC; Sons Woody Jones of Broadway,NC and Keith Jones and wife Peggy of Monroe, NC; Sisters Verlene Baker of New York and Alene Lucas of Washington,NC; Nine grandchidlren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the family home.
