Joyce Bailey Thomas, age 82 of Broadway, passed away on Saturday (3/16/2024) at her home.  She was born on October 23, 1941, daughter of the late James Columbus Bailey and Rosie Patterson Bailey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Larry Oscar Thomas.  Joyce was a lifelong member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.  She served as the WMU Director, traveled to Armenia for church mission trips, and served on numerous committees throughout the years.   Her hobbies included traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe and the Bahamas.  She was a pilot and logged many hours flying with her husband Larry.  A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday (4/10/2024) at 12:00pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Parsons and Rev. Scott Yow officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm in the church sanctuary.     She is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Bailey and wife Judy Rae of Broadway, NC and Jerry Bailey and wife Faye of Broadway, NC.
