Judy Rose Thomas Jones

November 8, 1942 – January 1, 2023

Born in Broadway, NC, Judy was the daughter of the late Ernest B. and Evlyne K. Thomas.

She  is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Robert A. Jones; a daughter Susan H. Isenhour (Chris); a son James Robert Jones (Robert); a grandson Brandon L. Isenhour (Mindy), and a great-grandson Cason M. Isenhour.

The sixth oldest of eight children, she is survived by her siblings Patty Lou Thomas Hunter (James), Elva Jane Thomas Mansfield (Tommy), and Barry Thomas (Cathy).  She was preceded in death by siblings Brady Thomas, Jesse Thomas, Gene Thomas, and Peggy Ann Campbell.

A graduate of Broadway School and Sanford Business College,  she worked for four decades as Office Manager for Broadway Dentist Office (Dr. Tulloch).

Judy lived a long and fulfilling life, and her journey took her through a wide range of activities; from playing basketball for Broadway School, to singing in both her church choir and the Broadway Community Chorus, to once even landing an airplane!  And she dearly enjoyed the "summer life" of love and laughter with her extended family in Seven Lakes, NC.

We, her family, are beyond blessed to have benefitted from her wisdom, example, inspiration, joy, and love.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 12:30 – 1:30pm in the sanctuary at Juniper Springs Baptist Church, 852 Buckhorn Rd, Sanford, NC 27330. Judy's Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:00pm, prelude music starting at 1:30pm.

Entombment to follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the college/continuing education fund for Judy's beloved great-grandson Cason Isenhour, so her legacy can live on.
