Katherine Harris Morris, age 66 of Sanford, died Friday (9/9/2016) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Knoxville, TN on November 19, 1949, daughter of the late Charles Harris and Martha Beeler Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Broadway and was retired from Lowe's Home Improvement. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Tuesday at the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Welborn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband Danny Morris of the home; Daughter Angela Goryl of Dallas, TX; Son Kenneth Horner Jr. and wife Jackie of Summerville, SC; Step children John Daniel Morris and wife Sue of Broadway, NC and Tammy Hatton and husband Jay of Moriarty, New Mexico. Sister Betty Gentry of Maynardville, TN and Brothers Ronnie Harris of Corryton, TN and Mike Harris of Halls, TN; Grandchildren Amanda Horner, Ashley Horner, Joshua Goryl and Courtney Goryl; Step- grandchildren Samantha Garrett, Olivia Garrett, PJ Morris, Sidney Morris , Hannah Morris, Madison Morris, Sherry Darroch, John A. Darroch and Jorgia Hatton. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
