Kathryn Cameron Rosser, age 84 of Broadway, passed away Wednesday (7/24/2019) at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born on February 24, 1935 in Harnett County, daughter of the late Archie James Cameron and Meta Thomas Cameron. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Hugh M. Rosser and her parents, brothers Wade Thomas, Clifford Cameron, Thomas Cameron, Blue Cameron and James "Poppy Cameron and her sister Allene Lyon. Kathryn was a devoted member of Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church for many years and served in several positions at the church including Elder and the church custodian. She was also a lifetime member of the Women of the Church and sang in the choir. She was a volunteer for the Buddy Bacpac program with schools in her community. Kathryn enjoyed working in the yard, mowing the grass, raking leaves and striking a match. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and had many cherished friends whom she enjoyed visiting. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her Sunday lunches and sweet iced tea. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 3pm at the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is her daughter Penny Rosser of Hurdle Mills, NC. Son Reggie Rosser and wife Cindy of Broadway, NC. Grandchildren Kaitie Thomas and husband Jared of Wake Forest, NC, Chase Rosser of Greenville, NC, Carson Rosser of Broadway, NC and many cherished nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1302 Broadway, NC 27505. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to their loved one.
