Kathy Lynn Cooke Place, age 49 of Sanford, died Friday (9/1/2017) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Lee County, daughter of Tommy Cooke and Janice Marie Williams Cooke. She was preceded in death by her brother Lee Cooke and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday at the Bible Baptist Church in Moncure with Rev. Robbie Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her parents Tommy Cooke and Janice Marie Williams Cooke of Sanford, NC. Husband William Dennis Place of Sanford, NC. Daughter, Amber Place Duprey of Sanford, NC. Sister, Sandy Place of Sanford, NC and one grandson, Jessie Sisk. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the Bible Baptist Church.
