Obituary

Keith Joseph High, 76, of New Hill, NC (formerly of Manchester, PA) lost the battle to lung cancer on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  Keith was born March 27, 1948 in Kenton, OH and grew up in Mt. Gilead, OH on the family's dairy farm where he developed a love for God, hard work and John Deere tractors. He attended Mt. Gilead High School until 1966 while working at TODCO Doors from 1966 – 1967.  In 1968 Keith began his truck driving career with Vincent Rhodebeck Bulk Milk in Mt. Gilead.  Some of the fondest memories of his many nieces and nephews were taking a ride on that milk truck with Uncle Keith. In the summer of 1969 Keith met the love of his life and married Michal "Micki" Kingsley in September 1970.  From 1978 until his retirement in 2010 Keith drove truck for Consolidated Freightways and ABF Trucking and was a member of the Teamster union.  As a retiree, Keith enjoyed traveling, eating ice cream and woodworking in his shop.  He was a member of the Buckhorn Global Methodist Church.  Keith always had a smile to share and will be greatly missed by many.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Dorris and Erma High, his brothers, Marvin, Glenn and Dwight High (Janet). He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years Michal High, sister Delores (Dean) Sherman of Fredericktown, OH and sister Ruth (Wayne) Miller of Cary, NC as well as sister in laws, Joan (Glenn) and Gloria (Dwight) and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
