Kenneth Ray Parker, age 63 of New Hill, passed away on Sunday (5/1/2022) at his home with his family by his side.  He was born in Chatham County, son of the late Atlas Parker and Lola Mae Tart Parker.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Linda Parker Lee; and brothers, Preston Parker and Mack Parker.  Ken was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and loved Duke Basketball.  He was a member of New Elam Christian Church, worked many years at Almay Cosmetics, Tyson and retired from Coty.  He was a loving husband, son and brother who was humble, kind, and never met a stranger.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Wednesday (5/4/2022) at New Elam Christian Church with Rev. Ed Earp officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Elam Christian Church Cemetery.  Surviving is his wife, Karen Stephenson Parker of the home.  Sisters, Hilda P. Nelson of Sophia, NC, Joyce P. Smith and husband Garland of Broadway, NC, Sue P. Diggs and husband Bobby of New Hill, NC and Anne P. Sears and husband Dennis of Sanford, NC.  Brothers, Tim Parker and wife Jeanette of New Hill, NC and Gordon Parker and wife Vivian of Moncure, NC.
