Kody Ray Johnson, age 22 of Oak Island, died Tuesday (7/14/2015). He was born in Lee County, son of Jeffrey Lee Johnson and Shelby Herrington Johnson. Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Surviving are his father Jeffrey Lee Johnson and mother, Shelby Louise Johnson of Oak Island, NC; daughter Summer Leighann Johnson of Sanford, NC; Maternal grandparents Charles and Mary Herrington of Southport, NC; Paternal grandparents Jesse and Judy Johnson of Sanford, NC; Sister Kasey Michelle Johnson of Oak Island, NC; Brother Robert Lee Johnson (Jackie) of Sanford, NC; One Nephew, Bryson Adams and two nieces Aubree Johnson and Autumn Johnson. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
