Laura Mae Godfrey Holder, age 79 of Broadway, died Sunday (2/7/2016) at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County daughter of the late Dave Godfrey Sr. and Hattie Butler Godfrey. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. "Bo" Holder Sr., parents, Brothers Roland Godfrey and Dave Godfrey Jr. and his wife Gladys. She grew up in the Barbecue Presbyterian Church but was a member of the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church where she was a former choir member. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00pm at the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Surviving is her daughter Yvonne H. McArthur and husband Bob of Broadway, NC; Son James A. Holder Jr. and wife Deborah Broadway, NC; Sister Betty R. Thomas of Broadway, NC; Brothers Louis Godfrey and wife Carolyn of Olivia, NC and Alvin Godfrey and wife Annette of Sunset Beach, NC and her sister in law Martha Godfrey of Hubert, NC. Six grandchildren, Jamie White and husband Jimmy, Samantha Eller and husband Chris, Robert McArthur II and wife Jessica, David Herring and wife Mary, Andrea Bryant and husband Rick and James A. "Alex" Holder III and wife Amanda; Eleven great grandchildren, Noah McArthur, Matthew White, Ally White, Kattie McArthur, Hattie Eller, Liz Wendland, Delsie McArthur, Zack Womble, Kailey Herring, Levi Herring, Addison Bryant and Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends immediately following the celebration of life service in the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the family home.
