Laura Griffin Patterson, age 84 of Raeford, formerly of Broadway, passed away on Friday (7/10/2026) at First Health Richmond Hospital in Rockingham.  She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Johnie J. Griffin and Virginia Brown Griffin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Tony Patterson, Charles Patterson and daughter, Melinda Patterson.  She loved to read, going to thrift stores and yard sales.  Taking one person's junk and making it her treasurers.  She enjoyed going to the beach, was devoted to her family, and often putting others, before herself.  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.    Surviving are her grandchildren, Steven Patterson, Tonya Wigent, Melinda Patterson and Matthew Patterson all of Raeford, NC; sisters, Marie G. Layton of Sanford, NC and Judy G.
