Lee Townsend "Tommy" Rogers, age 70 of Broadway, died Friday (4/10/2015) at Liberty Commons in Sanford. He was born in Harnett County, son of the late Bert Townsend Rogers and Phoebe Hardy Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Joan Dale Rogers and Sarah Elizabeth Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his Sisters, Lillie Mae Rogers McLeod of Broadway, NC, Virginia Rogers Davis and husband Jimmy of Burlington, NC, Susan Driggers of Cameron, NC; Brothers Richard Rogers and Keller Pate both of Broadway, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations are made to the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 370 Broadway, NC 27505 for funeral expenses. The family wishes to thank the Staff of Liberty Commons Nursing Center for the support and care given to our brother Lee. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
