Leonard Reid Evans Sr., age 66 of Sanford, died Wednesday (11/11/2015) at his home. He was born in Chatham County, son of Charles Lee Evans and Lela Clark Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother Billy Evans. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday at the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Bear Creek with Rev. Hobart Sheffield officiating. Surviving are his daughter Angie Evans Hodges (Glenn) of Broadway, NC; Sons Leonard Evans Jr. (Lenee) of Broadway, NC, Ricky Eugene Evans (Sherry) of Sanford, NC; Step- sons Nicholas McMillian and Shane McMillan both of Sanford, NC; Sisters Brenda Fore (Jim) of Siler City, NC, Lois Dawn Smith of Goldston, NC and Gail Sheffield (Hobart) of Sanford, NC; Brothers Scott Evans and Johnny Evans both of Sanford, NC and twelve grandchildren.
