Levie "Chad" Matthews, age 36 of Sanford, died Wednesday (1/3/2018) at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born in Lee County, son of Phyllis Palmer Matthews and the late Levie Anthony Matthews. He was preceded in death by his father and he was employed with the City of Spring Lake Public Works Department. Memorial services will be conducted at 11am Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Rhonda Wilson officiating. Surviving is his mother Phyllis Palmer Mathews of Sanford, NC. His wife, Jennifer Lee Fetterman Matthews of the home. Son, Levie Aaron Matthews of the home and brother Justin Matthews of Sanford, NC.
