Levy Scott Thomas, age 70 of Sanford, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the First Health Hospice Home, in West End.  He was born in Lee County, son of the late Edwin Lawrence "Mutt" Thomas and Annie Marie Johnson Thomas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Randy Thomas and sister, Linda Jo Goins.  Scott worked for over thirty years with Kelly Farms and later worked for Howard Farms.  He spent many years farming land in the Broadway Community and was also known to fix just about anything that needed to be repaired.  He is survived by his son, Jeremy Scott Thomas and wife Rebecca of Broadway, NC; daughter, Jennifer Thomas Patterson of Spring Lake, NC; brothers, Stevie Thomas and wife Louise of Sanford, NC, Barry Thomas of Sanford, NC; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday (3/18/2026) beginning at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.   Graveside services will follow at 2pm at the Thomas Family Section of Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev.
