Linda Stone Campbell, age 56 of Sanford, died Saturday (1/1/2022) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  She was born in Lee County on April 3, 1965, daughter of William Barney Stone and the late Pauline Watson Stone.  She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Douglas Thomas Campbell.  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 2pm at  the  Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Pastor Charlie Hickman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Surviving is her father, William B. Stone of Sanford, NC.  Son, Bryan William Campbell of Sanford, NC.  Daughters, Megan Victoria Campbell and Farren Lynn Welch of Sanford, NC.  Sisters, Brenda Faye Stone, Debbie Lynn Stone and Paulette Stone Harmon and husband Franklin of Sanford, NC; Grandchildren, Jeremiah Miller, Baylee Petrick, Douglas William-Lynn Campbell, Sophia Petrick, Levi Dalrymple and special niece, Franchesca Gautier.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway from 6-8pm and other times at the home of Paulette and Franklin Harmon.  The family request that mask be worn for the visitation and funeral service.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
