Linda Faye Knight Johnson, age 71 of Sanford, passed away on Saturday (1/10/2026) at Peak Resources Pine Lake in Carthage with her family by her side.  She was born daughter of the late Robert Lee Knight Sr. and Betty Frances White Knight.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Janet Marie Young.  Linda was a woman of faith and enjoyed being a member and attending church at Rise Assembly.  She loved to collect angels, enjoyed sitting by the pool and helping people.  She loved spending time with her family and her beloved boyfriend, who was there caring for her until the end.  She is survived by her sisters, Diane Oldham (David) of Sanford, NC and Brenda Hunt (Wayne) of Prospect Hill, NC; brothers Bobby Knight (Betty) of Lancaster, SC and James William Knight of Sanford, NC; and her boyfriend Ricky James of Lillington, NC.  There will be no services held at this time.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com  Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, Broadway Inc.
