Lucille Autry Sloan, age 89, of 1298 McFarland Road Broadway, died Wednesday (11/2/2011) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford after a period of declining health. She was born on March 15, 1922, daughter of the late Daniel Malcom Autry and Whitie Monroe Wicker Autry. She was preceded in death by her parents and was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Sunday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Parsons and Chaplain Jamie Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband Carlie Sloan of the home; Daughters Jackie Patterson Smith and husband J.R. of Sanford, NC and Patsy Patterson Erwin and husband John of Kinston, NC; one very special grandson Joshua Price Erwin and wife Pam. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Arrangments are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
