Mabel Fay Wicker Baker, age 91 of Sanford, died Tuesday (2/9/2016) at her home. She was born in Moore County, daughter of the late Martin Wicker and Margaret "Maggie" Short Wicker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie McLeod "Mack" Baker and her son John C. Baker. A private family graveside service was held on Wednesday at the Shallow Well Church Cemetery. Surviving are her sons, Eddie Baker of Sanford, NC and Danny Baker and wife Peggy of Sanford, NC; Daughter Dianne Johnson of Sanford, NC; and sister Margaret Kelly of Carthage, NC. Five grandchildren April Moody, Suzanne Price, Stacey Burris, Daniel Baker, Kirk Baker and two great grandchildren, Bryson Baker and Calleigh Baker.
