Mack Gale Black Jr., age 80, of Broadway, died Tuesday (10/20/2020) at his home.  He was born in Lee County, son of the late Mack Gale Black Sr. and Wilma Morrison Black.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Inez McCormick Black.  He was a member of Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church and retired from This End Up Furniture.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 2pm at Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug Houston officiating.  Surviving is his wife, Ann Thomas Black, of the home.  Sister, Carolyn Sutton, of Sanford, NC.  Brothers, Jerry Black and wife Hilda of Ash, NC and Mitchell Black of Sanford, NC.  Step-children, Paula Layton and husband Harold, of Sanford, NC and Bob Hart and wife Rhonda of Topsail Beach, NC.  Step-Grandchildren, Morgan Graham, Grant Layton, Dakota Hart, Stacy Mansfield, Brooks Mansfield and eleven step great-grandchildren.  Nieces, Paula Murray, Tracey Gentry, Shawn Herring, Tori Ferguson and nephews, Kevin Knight and Darrell Black.  Friends and family can come to the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday from 1-5pm to sign the register and pay their respects.   Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
