Mack Clifton Parker, age 73 of New Hill, passed away on Sunday (9/13/2020) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  He was born on February 3, 1947, son of the late Atlas Parker and Lola Mae Tart Parker.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Parker Lee and brother Preston Parker.  Mack was a Veteran of the United States Army serving as a Medic in Vietnam and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars with Valor.  He retired from Sanford Contractors after many years of service.  Graveside funeral services with military honors will be conducted at 11am Wednesday at the New Elam Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ed Earp officiating.  Surviving is his wife of fifty years, Dolores Huddleston Parker of the home.  Sons, Randy Parker and wife Sherry and daughters Katelyn and Lauryn of New Hill, NC and Ricky Parker and wife Leslie sons Ben and Mayson of Pittsboro, NC.  Sisters, Hilda Nelson of Sophia, NC, Joyce Smith and husband Garland of Broadway, NC, Sue Diggs and husband Bobby of New Hill, NC and Anne Sears and husband Dennis of Sanford, NC.  Brothers, Tim Parker and wife Jeanette of New Hill, NC, Gordon Parker and wife Vivian of Moncure, NC and Kent Parker and wife Karen of New Hill, NC and his beloved dog Gracie.  Friends and family may visit the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway between the hours of 1pm-6pm on Tuesday to sign the register and pay their respects.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
