Margarete "Maggie" Kraus Underwood, age 55 of Sanford, died Sunday (12/08/2013) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1958, daughter of the late Harold Kraus and Marga Pyka Kraus. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private memorial service will be held at the family home. Surviving are her husband Lee H. Underwood Jr. of the home; Step-daughter Rebecca Underwood Ali of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Step-son Lee H. Underwood III. of Sanford, NC and three step-grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
