Marie Dickens Wicker, age 86 of Corinth, died Saturday (7/25/2015) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born in Chatham County, daughter of the late Royce B. Dickens and Sadie Denson Dickens. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty McLean and her husband of 65 years Gordon Blake Wicker. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Chapel Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Monday at the Christian Chapel Christian Church with Rev. George Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her sons Nick Wicker of Corinth, NC and Roger Wicker and wife Barbara of Lemon Springs, NC; Sisters Harriett George and husband Tommy of Corinth, NC; Brothers Ed Dickens and wife Betsy of West Jefferson, NC and Henry Dickens and wife Shirley of Asheboro, NC; Two grandsons Joshua Wicker and his wife Dr. Nancy Hart Wicker and Cody Wicker; One great granddaughter Willow Psalms Wicker. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
