Maritta Eva Pofahl, age 69 of Fayetteville, died Thursday (1/27/2022) at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.  She was born in Germany on August 19, 1952, daughter of the late Eva M. Mountcastle.  She was preceded in death by her mother.   No services will be held at this time.  Surviving is her son, Jeremy King and wife Johnna of Fayetteville, NC.  Sister, Manuela Mountcastle of St. Petersburgh, Florida.  Brothers, Larsen Mountcastle and Lee Mountcastle of Fayetteville, NC and Andy Grundel of Virginia Beach, VA.  Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com .  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
