Marjorie Plyler Booth, age 96, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2024 at Avendelle Assisted Living in Apex, NC, surrounded by family and friends.  Marjorie was born in Union County, NC, to the late Matthew Plyler and Sarah Dees Plyler.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Russell Gray Booth.  A woman of faith, she was an active member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church for over 70 years.  Marjorie worked in vacation bible school, was in the Women's Missionary Union, taught Sunday school and served as the church clerk for many years.  Not only did Marjorie love her church family, she loved taking care of children.  She was "Miss Margie" to many of them over the years - all of them precious to her.   Marjorie also enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers and working in her vegetable garden.  But nothing pleased her more than time spent on her riding lawn mower cutting the grass.  She was a good neighbor, and a good cook- an unbeatable combination.  Anyone sick, ailing or feeling down was treated to a home cooked meal and vegetables from her garden.  Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Lee, grandchildren, Jennifer Crowell and Grayson Lee, great grandchildren, Madison Crowell, Ryan Crowell and Jade Lee, sisters, Betty Bowles and Brenda Plyler, nieces, nephews, extended family and treasured friends.  A graveside service will be at 11am May 7, 2024, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 700 Research Drive Cary, NC.
