Marsha Ray Thomas, age 44, died Saturday (6/29/2019) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Hugh Michael Ray and Sheila Gilchrist Ray.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lisa Ray Spitzer. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.   Surviving is her daughter Darian Sheila Thomas of Broadway, NC and niece Jaylyn Spitzer of Lillington, NC.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
