Martha Juanita Jones Meadows, age 84 of New Bern, died Monday (9/7/2015) at Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Bern. She was born on September 29, 1930, daughter of the late Albert Jones and Maggie Edwards Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Major Jones and Albert Jones; sister Hazel Banks and husband James Willard Meadows Sr. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Friday at the First Baptist Church in Maysville with Rev. Scott Coghill officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Surviving are her daughter Glenda Padgett and husband Eddie of Jacksonville, NC; Sons James W. "Buddy" Meadows Jr. and wife Tammy of New Bern, NC and Claude Wayne Meadows and fiancé Sherry Clark of Lumberton, NC; Sisters Kathleen Jordan of Maysville, NC and Doris Riggs of Pollocksville, NC; Eight Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 1-2pm on Friday at the First Baptist Church in Maysville.
