Mary Lee Buchanan, age 81 of Broadway, died Thursday (11/23/2017) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Alton Lee Buchanan and Madie Thomas Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters Sophia McNeill, Vada Tingen, Faye Cotten and her brother Alton Buchanan. She was a life time member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church, was a member of the B.E.S.T. Sunday School Class and she loved to send get well cards to people. She was a graduate of Boone Trail High School. Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Sunday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are her sisters Arlene Crissman of Broadway, NC, Annie Laura Seymore of Sanford, NC and Sue McNeill and husband Wendell of Broadway, NC and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm in the Holly Springs Multi- Purpose Building, one hour prior to the funeral service and other times at the home of Sue and Wendell McNeill.
