Mary Elizabeth DeVaun Stanley, age 75 of Lillington, died Friday (10/16/2015). She was born on August 7, 1940, daughter of the late Zelma DeVaun and Clina Garner DeVaun. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother David DeVaun; Sisters Nell Aiken, Shirley Starr and Helen Foster; son Terry Clark, and husband Carlton Wade Stanley. She was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm Sunday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway with Rev. Michael Simmons and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her sons James "Buddy" Clark and wife Darlene of Rocky Point, NC, Billy Ray Clark and wife Penny of Sanford, NC and Kevin E. Clark and wife Robbie of Broadway, NC; Sister Edna Bostic of Morehead City, NC; Brother Jimmy DeVaun and wife Patsy of Wilmington, NC; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the Holly Springs Baptist Church.
