Mary Lois Leaird, age 74 of Broadway, died Sunday (8/22/2021) at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro.  She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Cyrus Cris Leaird and Elva Gray Holly Leaird.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Bobby Leaird, Joe Leaird and JT Leaird.  Lois loved to work in the yard, growing flowers and word search books.  She also enjoyed all type of ball games and loved eating a good cheeseburger. She was a lifetime member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Wednesday at the Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Rackley and Rev. Terry Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 1-3pm, prior to the funeral service.  She is survived by her brother, Van Leaird of Lillington, NC.  Sister-in-law, Sandra Leaird.  Nieces and nephews, Suzanne Edwards and husband Joe, Brandon Leaird and wife Mandy, Kim Leaird and special niece and caregiver, Ronda Melby and husband Kris.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
