Mary Kennedy Strickland, age 70 of Broadway, died Saturday (8/4/2018) at her home. She was born on June 24, 1948, daughter of the late Ralph Derck Sr. and Laura Gillam Derck. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held on Sunday (8/12/2018) at 3pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Surviving is her husband Donald Lynn Strickland of the home. Sons Ronald Rickenbacker and Steve Rickenbacker both of Akron, Ohio. Step-children April Tabler and Anthony Strickland both of Garner, NC and two granddaughters Catelynn Rickenbacker and Stephanie Rickenbacker.
