Mattie Belle Patterson Stewart, age 92 of Broadway, passed away at her home on Sunday (08/07/2022).

She was born in Harnett County on October 20, 1929 daughter of Leatie Patterson. She was preceded in

death by her mother, son Johnny Stewart and her sister Betty McLain. She was a member of Holly

Springs Baptist Church and Graduate of Boone Trail High School. Mattie retired from Moen Corporation.

She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and loved sports especially softball games. She loved the Lord and

was a faithful church member and friend. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday

(08/10/2022) at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow

in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  She is survived by two daughters Delores Patterson

(Johnny) of Sanford, NC and Cynthia "Cindy" McDougald of Sanford, NC. One son Douglas Stewart, Sr. (Karen) of Sanford, NC. Six grandchildren,

Brent Patterson, Brad McDougald, Kelly Marsh, Leslie Stewart, Doug Stewart, Jr. and Kristin Congelli and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will
