Max "Mack" Gray Morris, age 70 of Sanford, died Thursday (10/13/2016) at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was born in Lee County, son of the late Neil Morris and Lessie Hall Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Johnson Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Wanda Cordell Morris of the home; Daughters Leah Driggers of Mamers, NC, Jackie Clayton (Carl Jr.) of Mamers, NC, Jancie Drossart (John) of Cameron, NC and Tammy McCurry of South Carolina; Sons Randy Morris of Sanford, NC and Jerome Hall II (Vicky) of Ohio; Sister Catherine Brett (Mills) of Sanford, NC and Genelle McDowell of Sanford, NC and Brothers Frank Morris of Sanford, and Lewis Morris (Barbara) of Raleigh, NC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and his beloved pets Cookie, Gypsy, Buddy and Itsy. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
