Michael Steve Hodges, age 39, of Broadway passed away at his home on July 9, 2026. He was born May 30, 1987 in Orange County, son of Joel Glenn Hodges and Angela Michelle Evans. He was preceded in death by his sister, Candice Hodges. He is survived by his parents, Joel Glenn Hodges and Angela Michelle Hodges of Broadway; sons, Bladen Michael Hodges and Connor Hodges of Broadway; brother, Johnathon Hodges and wife Crystal of Mamers; nieces, Nora Hodges, Chloe Hodges and nephew, Parker Hodges. Also surviving is his fiancé, Leah Martinsen of Broadway and her daughters Haleigh, Kendall, and Savannah. Family and friends were important and spending time with them meant everything to him. When it came to sports, there was only one team for Michael, UNC Tar Heels. If the Heels were playing, it was a sure bet that he would be watching while wearing a pair of his beloved Jordan shoes.  Also important to Michael was his collection of guns. Visitation will be at 9:00 am Saturday, July 18 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
