Michael Glenn Phillips, age 58 of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Sanford, passed away on Saturday (7/19/2025) with his family by his side.  He was born on September 29, 1966, son of Joyce Godfrey Phillips and the late Norman Glenn Phillips.  Michael loved his work in construction and was also a real estate broker.  Hobbies were golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle and a love for the beach. He adored his boxer, Scooby. They spent many great hours together riding the golf cart and talking with neighbors.  Surviving are his mother, Joyce Godfrey Phillips of Sanford, NC; sister, Sherry Phillips Kent and husband Lloyd of Sanford, NC; nephew, Nicholas Kent of Sanford, NC; niece, Melissa Kent Bayles and husband James and their children, Lucas and Saylor of  Shalimar, Florida; uncles, Jerry Godfrey of Broadway, NC and Travis Phillips of Sanford, NC. He leaves behind special family members, Marcia Ballard and Sandra Cotten of Sanford, NC.  He also leaves behind his beloved fiancé, Gina Langdon of Franklinton, NC.   A private family graveside service will be held at Shallow Well Church Cemetery with a celebration of life service to follow at a later date.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials/donations be made to St. Jude, www.stjude.org.
