Pamela Jean Grainger Brown, age 72 of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born in Loris, South Carolina, daughter of the late Kenneth Grainger and Christine Elizabeth Gore McMillan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Walter H. McMillan, and her step-brother, Ronnie McMilllan. Pam attended Central Baptist Temple with her family and retired from Broadway Elementary School where she was the cafeteria manager for many years. She loved to make jewelry, and angels out of beads. She enjoyed her goldfish pond, shopping at thrift stores and going out to eat especially at Scoops, Highway 55, Cracker Barrell and Los Charros with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Brian Haigler of Sanford, NC; daughter, Rebecca Haigler Maddox and husband Jeff of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Aumi Leigh Haigler, and Katelyn Clarke Owens, her husband Austin and their daughter, Addison Owens; brother, Harold Grainger and wife Darlene of Cameron, NC;  step-siblings, Steve McMillan and Pam Vulgamore of Holden Beach, NC; nieces and nephews, Chad Grainger (Rachel), Melissa Burgess (Preston) , Stephanie Nelson (Jason)  Audra Edwards (Ryan), Grant McMillan (Lauren), Jessica Jaramillo (Matthew). A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 2pm at Central Baptist Temple in Sanford with Pastor David Summerlin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
